Shoppers are raving about a cheap and easy hack to remove damp and help clothes dry quickly. The tip was shared by a user on Facebook who recommended buying hanging dehumidifiers to hook up next to drying clothes.

Sharing a picture of the bag in action, the woman wrote: "We are lucky enough to have a heated airer but we also hang these hanging dehumidifiers on too! They are from pound stretcher for just over £1 [each] and they absorb so much of the damp and so quickly clothes dry super quick."

Due to high energy costs, many households may be cutting back on using their central heating as much this winter, which can cause troubles when drying clothes. When the temperature drops, the cold air outdoors, can also increase the problems with condensation in the home.

Other Facebook users raved about the cheap products with many rushing to get their hands on them for the winter. One user wrote: "Poundstretchers sell them in multipacks of 6. I've started using them ... if I could afford dehumidifiers and better insulation around windows and doors I certainly would."

Another commented: "Wow what good idea if not sold out will deffo try." A third similarly said: "I have these in the wardrobes, never thought of using them this way."

"I get them for my girls houses and they're great. Unreal how fast they fill up with water. Keeps dampness down brilliant," commented one user. Another said: "I live in a 1600s house and these are invaluable hanging in the wardrobe! Do such an amazing job and so cheap to buy."

Packs of dehumidifier bags can be sold at a range of shops such as Amazon and the Range. They are excellent for hanging in wardrobes, cupboards and shoe racks, and ideal for areas with damp, mould, mildew and condensation problems as they eliminate moisture from your space.
