People “should immediately stop using” Sunbeam Queen Size Heated Blankets, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission warned this week.
The blanket recall involves 43,000 of these heated throws, which “can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards,” the notice says. Velvet Fabric Sofa
Customers should check the model number on their heated blanket label to see whether the product is the one involved in the recall. The blankets were sold in the following colors: beige, ivory, light green, dark blue, light blue, burgundy, dark gray, light gray and gray violet.

The recalled heated blankets were sold at some small retail locations and on Amazon.com AMZN, -4.25% from September 2022 to January 2023 for roughly $120.

As of Friday, there have been 13 reports of the blankets overheating, according to the recall notice. But no injuries have been reported so far.
Consumers can contact Star Elite, Sunbeam’s distributor, for a full refund via their website or by phone at 877-383-6399.
