Pure Fi announces 40GBPS USB-C AOC cable | Digital Signage Today

Pure Fi, a manufacturer of optical and optical-hybrid cable solutions, has announced a USB-C active optical cable with speeds up to 40GBPS up to 30 feet, with zero latency and electromagnetic interference, according to a press release.

As reported by Digital Signage Today, Pure Fi seeks to be a disruptor in A/V networking and connectivity with a strategy leaning on vertical integration and an emphasis on optical cabling instead of traditional copper-based cables. 40g Qsfp+ Aoc

The USB-C product offers bidirectional connectivity and is compatible with the latest USB4 and Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 standards; available sizes include 10, 15 and 30 feet, with respective MSRP of $99, $129 and $199.

"The USB Type-C connector has become a de facto standard in consumer tech and professional applications, so we developed a solution to suit even the most demanding connectivity needs across a very broad range of devices and applications," Bill Huang, CEO at Pure Fi, said in the release. "Delivering an active optical solution that takes advantage of the USB-C form factor gives our customers the ideal connectivity solution to suit virtually any need."
