Aldi is really nailing it on the furniture for pets front. Gazebo On Deck

The day after they announced the launch of hanging egg chairs just for cats (which we’re pretty sure will sell out the moment they land online), Aldi is now selling a mini lounger, complete with a sunshade, for dogs.

As part of the brand’s Specialbuys for today, May 20, Aldi is selling a pet bed with a canopy for £19.99.

Sadly, it doesn’t have a tropical print or make it look like your dog is being fanned by two giant leaves.

But what the product might lack in style, it makes up for in practicality.

The base of the bed is lifted off the ground, so your pooch won’t have direct contact with the hot ground outside, while a removable canopy provides some shade on sunny days.

The buy also comes with a little carry bag, so you can easily take it to the beach or park whenever you’re heading on a big summer day out.

You will need to spent a few minutes setting the structure up, though, so do keep that in mind, and remember that even in the shade, it’s important you keep an eye on your dog’s temperature and ensure they don’t overheat.

The sunshade provides protection from the sun, but it’s worth still slathering your dog in some specialised sun cream to keep their skin in good shape.

Make sure you pack plenty of water for your pup to drink, and get to know the symptoms of heatstroke.

All that plus a little canopied bed for your furry friend, and you’re set for a lovely summer outing.
