“Northern California is an important, strategic region for Hitachi Global Air Power,” said John Randall, Hitachi Global Air Power’s president and chief operating officer, in a press release. “We want to ensure all of our customers as well as potential customers have access to quality Sullair products, sales and service, and the addition of General Air Compressors North helps us to better meet our customers’ growing needs in the region.”

Hitachi develops and manufactures air compressors. Sullair is one of their brands. Hitachi'sproducts are used in manufacturing, food processing and in the pharmaceutical and technology industries. Their portable compressors provide air power for building infrastructure such as roads, laying pipeline and aiding oil and gas mining operations. As part of Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Co., Hitachi Global Air Power US operates factories in Michigan City and Suzhou, China.

As of November, General Air Compressors North will become part of Hitachi's network of companies. Since the company’s founding in 2008, General Air Compressors North has sold and serviced air compressors, air treatment products, and accessories in California’s central valley and parts of Nevada. They will transition to exclusively selling Sullair brand air compressors and related equipment.

“We started our business 15 years ago with two technicians,” Steve Gunzenhauser, president of General Air Compressors North, said in the press release. “We always knew if we provided premium service to our customers, our business would grow. Here we are 15 years later partnering with a company that has the same strong service beliefs as ours and also offers great products.”
