You may remember sound diffusers from your high school band practice—maybe you put egg cartons on the wall, or randomly chopped up blocks of foam. In any case, muffling sound usually doesn't look pretty. That's not true if you use a skyline diffuser. Made from different size blocks of wood all stuck together, the functional wall ornament looks like, you guessed it, a city skyline. It would be a cool thing to hang on your wall even if it wasn't so good at diffusing sound waves.
A new video from John Heisz shows that making a skyline diffusers is pretty easy and totally doable for anyone with a home workshop and some extra wood. When you're done, your room will contain sound much more easily than it did before. Finally, an excuse to start that death metal project. Rockwool Acoustic
