Who says your door can't be a design statement? Refill Roller
As the seasons shift, it might be time to change a couple of things around in our homes. One way to make a simple yet significant change to a room is by switching up the color of a door or two throughout your house. That's right—your walls aren't the only thing you can paint! Ryia Jose of Kin & Kasa shows us how to easily paint your door for a punch of color and personality. Read on to find out how to do this paint job in just one afternoon. 1.Lay a dropcloth or tarp under the door to protect your flooring from drips. Tuck it under the door for maximum coverage.
2. Remove hardware (like the doorknob and latch) on the side of the door.
3. Apply deglosser using a tack cloth.
4. Sand the door until it's smooth.
5. Wipe down the door until it's clean and dry.
6. Cover any remaining hardware with painter's tape and tape off the edges of the door.
7. Apply primer with a brush and let dry for at least 30 minutes (or the time designated on the can!)
8. Begin by painting the door edges with an angled brush.
9. Paint the remainder of the door using a foam roller.
And voilà—a new statement in your home, for hardly any cost.
